Spring Colors That POP!

Thursday, April 12, 2012

As winter draws to a close and the signs of spring start to show; bright blooming flowers, lush green grass, clear blue skies, it's a great time to take a cue from nature and spruce up your uniform's color palate. Chefwear offers chef jackets in over 40 different stocked colors (and more than 300 customizable options), but this season we are focusing on the brightest hues to add a little POP to your wardrobe.

Cobalt Blue - Just like those tasty treats suggest, Cupcakes is a natural partner for a Cobalt BlueThree-Star Plastic Button jacket. Cobalt also looks great with a pair of Mix It Up Women's Low Rise pants. Or for a true spring feel, match your Cobalt jacket with our Sunflower pattern.

Purple - Purple is featured in the Three-Star line and pairs well with Berries pants. Vintage pants also pop with the addition of a purple jacket. Or try playing off of the hints of purple in our Psychedelic pattern for a more subtle combination.

Orange - Orange is the color of the season! At this spring’s Fashion Week, Pantone unveiled “Tangerine” as the spring color. But we were one step ahead of the curve at Chefwear. Orange is available in both the Sterling and the Emperor jackets, as well as the Organic Traditional jacket-named Sweet Potato. Orange jackets play well of off the bold colors in Multi- Stripe pants. Skulls, Black Chile Pepper, and Carnivale all also bring out the best in an orange jacket. Plus look for a new orange hue, Tangerine, in both the Men’s and Women’s Three-Star Lines, coming May 2012!

Red- Red is the most popular color choice with Chefwear customers and is available in our Emperor, Sterling, Five-Star Lined, Windsor, and long- and short- sleeve Three-Star Plastic Button jackets, as well as the Skull Cap. A Red jacket can really pull out the red toques in our Toque Stripe print as show here. Hot Tomatoes, Utensils, and Snake Skin pants also look great when finished off with a Red jacket. Or for some contrast, pair up a Red top with any black and white bottom, like European Houndstooth, Arctic Camo, or Tribal Spirit.

Hot Pink- One of our most popular colors in our Three-Star Line, Hot Pink, is shown here with our Carnivale chef pants. It also compliments pants in Sunflower and Effervescence. Or pair your Hot Pink jacket with some Black Chefwear Traditionals for a bold statement.

Avocado- Avocado is one of our Eco-Friendly options. It is made out of 100% organic cotton and sustainable vegetable based dyes. Both the women's and men's Organic Traditional coats are available in Avocado, as well as the Organic Bib Apron and Skull Cap. Avocado plays well with the greens in our Artichoke and Mix It Up prints.

Cornflower- A recent addition to the Sterling Jacket line, Cornflower works its best magic when paired up with Chocolate. It is shown above with Chocolate Women's Low Rise Pants and brown embroidery to highlight a classic color combo. If solid colors aren't your thing, try a pair of Cupcakes pants. For those of you without a sweet tooth, a Cornflower jacket brings out the best of our Brown Plaid pattern.

Gold- Gold is available in long and short-sleeve versions of our Three Star Plastic Button jacket. We've seen it paired up with a Chefwear classic, Black Chile Pepper, for an outstanding combo. The yellows hues in Lemons pants work perfectly w/ Gold. Or for more regal combination try Pacific Rim Ultimates. Gold will also be a perfect fit with a pair of Mushroom pants. Look for the re-introduction of our much loved Mushroom print in May 2012.
