Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer season and this year it is going to be a warm one (well, at least here in the Midwest). So our designers have pulled together some of their favorite chef jackets and shirts that will help you beat the heat. Combining lightweight and performance fabrics with classic Chefwear styling, these hot looks are sure to keep you cool.

(Bottom Row from left to right): Relax and enjoy the summer in one of Chefwear's logoed shirts. The Chefwear Jersey is styled after a classic baseball jersey, with a loose fit, short sleeves and single breast placket. It is available in Black/Grey Houndstooth fabric, and printed w/ our famous red toque on the left chest and the iconic number "86" on the back.

If baseball isn't your game, then you may prefer our Chefwear Polo, made with lightweight 100% cotton pique fabric, three wood-toned buttons and the Chefwear toque embroidered on the left chest.

Our best-selling Five Star Lightweight Short-Sleeve chef jacket is available in white and black. It's 6.0 oz 100% cotton twill is durable enough to withstand the rigors of the kitchen wash after wash, while maintaining a light, breathable feel.

Add a little texture to your wardrobe with the Seersucker chef jacket. Our designers love the lightweight, 100% cotton fabric woven with classic seersucker dimples for a stunning look and comfortable feel. Available in white, black, periwinkle, and espresso with pearlized square buttons for the perfect finishing touch.

If color is what piques your interest, then we've got the chef jacket for you. The Three-Star Short-Sleeve chef jacket is available in 8 fade-resistant colors. Durable, wrinkle-resistant poly/cotton twill and black logo buttons set this jacket apart.

Chefwear also offers a selection of full-sleeve jackets made to combat kitchen heat, for the chef that prefers more protection. The Flo jacket is made with a lightweight poly/viscose blend to help wick moisture away from the body. This fabric is also fade-resistant so the black will stay true. It features mesh underarm vents and a full cape back lined with mesh to allow air to flow freely through the coat while you work.

If you like the idea of air flow but prefer a 100% cotton option, check out the Five-Star Vented chef jacket. Also available in black and white, the Five-Star Vented features mesh underarm vents with a mesh box pleat for back venting. The mesh in the back also helps to give you a little more freedom of movement as it stretches with you.

The double-breasted chef jacket is a symbol of the culinary industry, but our designers know that shirts in the kitchen are trending. So, for the ultimate in kitchen cool, try a chef shirt instead of a jacket.

(From left to right): The Baker's shirt isn't just reserved for those who practice pastry arts. This lightweight 5.5 oz 60/40 cotton/poly shirt is a great solution for any chef. It is wrinkle- and stain-resistant, meaning easy care for a chef on the go. A mandarin collar and white plastic buttons complete the simple design.

The Chefwear Three-Star Short-Sleeve chef shirt is a great economical choice. A breast patch pocket helps to keep things in order, while the super lightweight 4.25 oz 65/35 poly/cotton helps to keep you cool. It is available in red, white, royal blue, and black for as low as $11.95 each.

(From left to right): Sometimes a front of the house look fits well in the back of the house. Our Mandarin shirt is made with lightweight 6.0 oz 100% twill and cloth knot buttons. Combine this breathable fabric with its roomy fit and short sleeves for a comfortable style that can't be beat.

Break the mold with a custom chef jacket. Turn any Five-Star or Premier jacket into the jacket of your coolest dreams. Change the fabric to a lightweight cotton or wicking poly/viscose blend. Crop the sleeves to short or 3/4 length. Add a mesh vent in the back. The possibilities are endless. Contact our Customer Service department to begin designing your custom order today.
