| Restaurateurs and chefs are often looking for ways to get creative and personalize their chef uniforms. Embroidering your company logo on any Chefwear item (from chef coats to kitchen aprons) is a great option. Our design team has broken down the logo embroidery process into three steps to help familiarize you with the process of creating an amazing personalized order. | ||
Step One: Logo quote For new logos, contact Customer Service to answer a few standard embroidery questions: |
* Placement of chosen logo - Where are we placing your chosen logo? On a jacket in the left chest position? Centered on an apron bib? |
Your Customer Service Representative will also request a high resolution digital image of your logo in either JPEG, ESP, AI, BMP or PDF format. A large image in not required, but we recommend using a high quality file. The better the oringal image, the better your final embroidery logo will look. You can expect a quote within one business day of submitting all the required information. This quote will include a one-time set up fee, the run charge. Fees are based on the number of stitches and colors in the logo. Normally, the one-time set up fee ranges between $35 and $100. Larger logos with extra details and more colors may cost more. The run charge is the per piece cost to put your logo on any garment. This fee normally ranges from $3.80 to $9.00 each. Note: If you have had your logo digitized elsewhere, please feel free to submit the DST file directly to us. If the DST file is correct and we are able to read it, then we will waive the set up fee. Your quote would only include a run charge. |
Step Two: Logo set up Once you’ve approved the logo quote, we move forward with the digitization process. Our embroidery team converts the logo you provided to a file specifically formatted for our embroidery machines and runs a sample of your logo on our stock fabric. This sample is called the ‘sew out’. Sew outs can be done on fabric to match your future order, but are normally done on white or black fabric. |

Your representative will email you a scanned copy of the logo (we can also mail you a physical copy if you would prefer) for your review. Once approved, the sew out will be attached to your customer number and becomes the standard for all future orders. |
Step Three: Production & Shipping Once your customized embroidery order is submitted and approved, the process moves into the capable hands of our embroidery team. Each order is handled with care and embroidered to your specifications, but cannot be undone once complete. So, please make sure that you are happy with your sew out and order confirmation before approval. When the embroidery order is finished, everything will be packed and shipped to you. Standard lead time for text or logos that are on file is 1-2 weeks. Lead time for a new logo set up and subsequent order is 2-4 weeks. Once you receive your customized order, make sure everything is correct and to your satisfaction. Please don't hesistate to contact Customer Service with any feedback. We are here to help.
