|---|
Here at Chefwear, each large department (chef coats, chef pants, chef hats, chef aprons) is broken down into even more specific categories (Premier, Five-Star, Four-Star, Three-Star) based on features and benefits . This is a helpful tool in searching for your perfect uniform. Not only can you see the break down in the Chefwear Magazine and online, but also at the product development level. Every category has a set of characteristics that are consistent across all of its items. In this series, we'll explore the four categories and help define which chef jackets, chef pants and kitchen aprons meet your needs. |

The Four-Star line offers a great combination of longevity and comfort. All Four-Star Chef Jackets are constructed with 7.0 oz 60% cotton, 40% polyester twill blend. This cotton-rich fabric is much more breathable than standard 65/35 poly/cotton and after a few washes, the fabric will soften up for a cotton-feel. But unlike 100% cotton, this 60/40 cotton/poly blend is finished with wrinkle- and stain-resistant protection for crisp, clean whites, and is colorfast to keep your colored jackets truer. This fabric also provides minimal shrinkage. Most Four-Star chef jackets (with the exception of the Four-Star Executive series) are designed with a boxy fit. This style is intended for all body types with a generous cut throughout the shoulders, waist and hips. These chef coats have breast patch and split sleeve thermometer pockets for easy access to all of your smaller tools. The newest additions to our Four-Star line is our Executive series, (Assymetrical, Crossover Collar and Executive) which showcase Premier features like covered buttons, piping and a more tailored fit, but made in a 60/40 cotton/poly blend. These jackets blur the line between durability and style. |
