How can I track my order?

It may take up to 24 hours for updated tracking information to be posted to the carrier's website. If you ordered multiple items or added customization to your order, they may have shipped in multiple boxes and may arrive at different times.

How can I expedite my order?

Please submit your order by 11:00 am. CST to ship the same day. This does not apply to orders that require embroidery or neck ribbons. Backordered items will ship when available.

It is possible to expedite your order by selecting UPS 2nd or UPS Next Day Air. Please note orders shipping UPS Next Day Air on Friday will not be delivered on Saturday. They will be delivered on the next business day; Monday (assuming this is not a holiday).

How are shipping charges determined?

Shipping charges for all items ordered will be charged in aggregate on the first items shipped. Back-ordered items will be shipped without shipping charges as you will have been billed for total order shipping charges on the invoice for the first items shipped. ** The customer is responsible for all additional duties, taxes, and other applicable fees on international orders. How do I return an item? How do I exchange an item? What are the fees?

To ensure the best customer experience possible, Chefwear will accept all returns within 45 days of the invoice date. A Return Request Form must be completed in advance and sent to [email protected]. You will receive an e-mail with a Return Merchandise Authorization or RMA # and shipping instructions 24 to 48 hours upon receipt of your return request. Please use a local shipping service such as FedEx or UPS that provides a tracking number for all shipments to ensure delivery. Returns will be processed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm CST. Read more

Wash and Care Instruction

Can I make alterations to my Chefwear clothing?

Yes. Please launder before making alterations to account for shrinkage. Chefwear also offers Custom Orders of many items to ensure that your uniform is exactly how you want it. Please contact Customer Service at 800-568-2433 for more information.

How do I wash my Chefwear clothing?

Machine wash in WARM water with like colors. DO NO BLEACH. Bleach greatly reduces the life expectancy of garments. Tumble dry on LOW and remove promptly. Damages resulting from improper care render the garment non-refundable.

Can I Dry Clean my Chefwear clothing?

No, please do not dry clean. The processes used to dry clean clothing greatly reduces the lifespan of each article. Damages resulting from improper care render the garment non-refundable.

Credit Card Security: Is the site secure?

Shopping at our site is safe, and we guarantee it. All orders on our site are processed on our secure server. All credit card information is encrypted and protected. To check that your transaction is secure, look for the unbroken key or closed padlock icon in the corner of your browser screen when entering your credit card information. If you would prefer not to place your order online, please call Customer Service at 1-800-568-2433. One of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

Note: The expiration date, card code and billing address you enter must match exactly what your financial institution has on file for your account (including the street address). If not, the transaction will be denied and your financial institution will likely place a “hold” on the funds for up to five business days even though the transaction was denied due to this address data mis-match. We do not control the authorization process. We are not charging your account multiple times in these situations.

Can I have my logo embroidered?

Custom logos may be embroidered on most Chefwear merchandise. To process an order w/ a custom logo please call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-568-2433. Logos will incur a one-time Set Up fee depending on the size and number of colors in the logo. A Run Charge will also be determined by the thread count of the embroidered logo. This charge will apply to every item the logo will be embroidered on, on a per piece basis.

When can I expect to receive my embroidered merchandise?

Please allow 7-10 business days for processing embroidery orders. If there is a new logo, 7-10 business days will begin once logo has been approved.

When can I expect to receive a backorder?

Although we make every effort to stock all merchandise, occasionally an item may not be available to ship immediately.  All merchandise that is in stock will ship when your order is placed. The backordered merchandise will be shipped to you as soon as it is in stock. You will not be charged for backordered merchandise until it ships.

Explain the sizing chart. Does Chefwear run large, small, or true to size?

Chefwear merchandise, unless specifically designated “Women’s”, is based on unisex sizing. To ensure an accurate fit, it is recommended that the chest, waist, and hips measurements are used to determine the correct size. For jackets and shirts, order the Chefwear size, S, M, L, ect., that corresponds to your chest or hip measurement, whichever is larger. Pants and shorts should be ordered using the larger of your waist or hip measurements to find the correct size on the sizing chart. Chefwear merchandise is designed to run true to size, not extra roomy or tight fitting. Women’s jackets are cut to be more form fitting, with slightly shorter shoulder length and appropriate room for hips.

Explain the Pint (Kids) Size sizing chart.

Pint Size Duds are sized using the conventional small, medium, and large sizes. Pint Size Duds should be ordered using the child’s clothing size to determine the appropriate Chefwear size.

Chefwear has been a trusted source for comfortable, stylish, high quality culinary apparel for over 30 years. Founder Rochelle Huppin began designing chef pants for herself in 1988. Quickly realizing that the demand for comfortable and fashionable chef uniforms was high, she moved production to a local cut and sew factory. As the company grew, partnerships developed with US and international vendors to manufacture our own custom line of fashion forward fabrics, trims, packaging and garments, all the while maintaining our focus on high quality, innovative chef uniforms. With each step that we take in the company’s development, we further commit to maintaining Chefwear’s core values of comfort, quality and style.
